Phenomenon of Czech Household Debt

The bachelor work deals with an issue of Czech household indebtedness. The author focuses especially on a topic of over-indebtedness and its causes. Life on credit became a serious problem, which has negative impact on society. The first part is devoted to explain trends of an increasing consumption based on theories of consumer and postmodern society. The topic of poverty and social exclusion is described in connection of debt problems. The second part engages present situation of household indebtedness in the Czech Republic and compares it with international statistics of European Union. Special part is dedicated to confront situation in Great Britain with the Czech Republic. The key part of work focuses on drivers of over-indebtedness. There are three main reasons: low income, high costs and low level of financial literacy. The author proceeds to analyze ways of prevention the low level of financial literacy, including debt counseling and educational programs for children who attend both primary school and high school. The last chapter explores a profile of a debtor as a result of conducted interviews and analysis of statistical data.
Changes in the financial sector and their impact on economic development

The bachelor thesis consists of two chapters in which it describes the global financial crisis in connection with theory of division of economy into financial and real sector, and studies possible channels that could transmit problems between them. While analyzing the changes that have occurred in the last period and which contributed to larger spillover of the problems, a fact of developing extensive financial sector emerges. There are many cases of countries that have been extremely dependent on it, therefore little diversified, which could cause high volatility of consumption, GDP etc., since these indicators mirror movements of financial markets. These facts are related to the origin of offshore financial centers, which are also discussed in the thesis. Moreover, there is examined an issue of growth in banks´ assets and excessive providing of credit that leads to larger indebtedness of households. Rise of household debt has been still continuing even after the end of crisis, and is usually connected not only with financial deepening in emerging economies, but also with negative impact on future economic growth. Liabilities of financial institutions consist of high amount of wholesale funds, which resulted in growth of liquidity and systemic risk.

Analysis of the APRC for consumer loans

The thesis titled "Analysis of the APRC for consumer loans" begins with basic economic knowledge of the consumer loans, mutual context and legal background. Key emphasis is placed on the pointer annual percentage rate of charge. Analyzed loans are selected from wide range of bank and non-bank institutions that meet the specified parameters. For each loan there is comparison of calculated and actual values presented in the APRC. Next part of focused on overall comparison of the obtained results. Last section provides theoretical recommendations for future development.
Působení institucionálních vlivů na zadlužování zemí

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to prove the relation between public debt and selected effects of institutional character. The thesis is focused on the effect of tax evasion and household debt. The first part includes basic definitions of institutional effects and definitions of fiscal policy regarding public debt. The second part uses methods of empirical correlation and regression analysis to prove relation between selected variables. The conclusion states hypothesis which were achieved by chosen methods.
Consumer credit market development in the Czech Republic

Bachelor thesis maps the development of banking and nonbanking consumer credits in the Czech Republic since its formation to the end of the year 2011. It tracks particularly the changes of the loan volume, the interest rates and the bank charges. It also compares currently available loan offers and maps the actual situation. The aim of the work is to help to the consumers in orientation of the relevant market and to serve to the interested persons as a working material.
Credit expansion through credit cards

The thesis is concerning household indebtedness through credit cards, funding of these credits and how the consumer is affected. The focus is mainly on the current situation in the United States, nevertheless some observations from the former Korean credit card crisis are pointed out. The thesis describes the development of the credit card debt and identifies reasons and consequences of the expansion. The role of the state as setting conditions of the market and solving possible market failure is also mentioned.
Analysis of the progress of the insolvency of czech households

The bachelor thesis is divided into two main parts. The part one deals with description of banking loan and non-banking loan market. Then main debt products are characterized. The analysis of a progress of an insolvency of czech households in particular areas of banking and non-banking market is made in the second part as well. This part also descripts trends in distraints and personal bakrupts. In the end of second part progression of deposits and household loans is shown. The finaly part containts internationally comparison of the insolvency of czech households and a conclusion.

Diplomová práce popisuje vývoj objemu a struktury poskytovaných úvěrů v ČR v oblasti veřejného a podnikového zadlužení se zaměřením na zadlužení v segmentu domácností. Zde je provedena analýza faktorů, které ovlivňují změny ve struktuře a dynamice úvěrů. Významný vliv má vývoj úrokových sazeb, změny úvěrových podmínek, růst disponibilních příjmů, trh nemovitostí či nové trendy v přístupu k zadlužování.
